Deutronomy 14:23" " And thou shalt eat before the lord thy GOD, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithes of thy corn, of thy wine, and thine oil, and the firstlingd of thy herds and of thy flocks: that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy GOD always. "
You shalt eat before the LORD thy GOD, this is a commandment, "You shalt eat" you are commanded to eat, this tithes of substances and farm produce. If you don't eat them the gets spoiled and rotten. GOD doesn't like wastages.
What are you to Eat ?
The Tithes of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks. After, bringing all the substances to the house or place GOD has chosen. The substances are to be cooked there, by each households. The animals shalt be slaughtered by the priests, and washed accordingly, the meat then seasoned and boiled. After, it's cooked, the priests comes and fetched from the pots, using long forks of beaten brass used in the temple. The followed by the orphans, widows and strangers. Then the people all worshipped and began to eat cheerfully, joyously and great rejoicing. In am atmosphere of love, brotherliness and a greatful heart.
This practice is similiar to what the Catholic church does annually, called Harvests and Bazaars.
